The front door is framed on either side by colourful hanging clothes and Aivo chairs, one on each side. In the background to the right is another cabin. Behind and above are trees, a patch of grey sky in the upper right corner and a purple mountain face in the upper left.The painting was originally given by the artist, to Syd Graves (who managed Lake O’Hara for many years). It was then given to Bill Brewster, who gave it to Rita Crick, who gave it to the Peter Whyte Gallery.

- Tom Lonsdale was the United Church Minister, for many years, in Banff; he took painting lessons from Pete Whyte circa 1950; Catharine purchased LoT.02.02 through LoT.02.04 at a United Church rummage sale, for $3.00 each, in 1975. Tom Lonsdale spent some years in a Calgary rest home and died 1975.

- A matched cup and saucer. The cup is straight sided most of way down from the lip and then slants in to a narrower base. Both pieces have a band of curlicues that forms a narrow band around the rim of the saucer and inside the rim of the cup. The cup and saucer are decorated with a scene of a Chinese gate, bridge, birds, and trees covering the face of the saucer and the outside of the cup. Both pieces are marked “Royal Albert Crown China, Made in England” and the cup also has “#6465”.
