Description
A black, metal box containing a watercolour paint set. (a) metal box. The front of the box contains a clip that fastens upwards to secure the box closed. Engraved in the bottom of the box is the “Page London” logo in cursive writing; underneath this logo it reads “MADE IN ENGLAND”. Inside the box, along the bottom edge, is a strip of paper glued into the box with text that reads:“YELLOW OCHRE”; “VERMILION”; “ULTRAMARINE”; GAMBOGE TINT”; “CRIMSON LAKE”; “IVORY BLACK”; “SAP GREEN”; “PRUSSIAN BLUE”. Underneath this text is the Page of London logo and then text that reads: “STUDENTS’ WATER COLOUR BOX”; “No. 508”; “MADE IN ENGLAND”.(b) - (i) eight removable square paints that are set in an ivory-coloured base.(j) - (n) five removable circular ivory-coloured water dishes. Dish (j) contains the remnants of a mixture of black paint and water on it.(o) paintbrush; with a wooden, blue handle that contains the text “MADE IN ENGLAND 4 HAIR” in gold lettering near the top. The ferrule is white metal; the bristles are brown and made of hair.(p) Ultramarine Blue watercolour tube made by the company “GRUMBACHER”. The tube has a price tag on it that reads “BANFF CAMERA $ .45”(q) Raw Siena watercolour tube made by the company “Permanent Pigments”.

Description
Wooden carving of a mouse in a full-length dress holding a broom and standing in front of a mushroom next to a bucket with a metal handle. The mouse has a leather tail. The mushroom has an open door with a small carved-out space in the trunk of the mushroom and a small window to the right of the door. The cap of the mushroom extends over the mouse and has a chimney spout coming out the top - the chimney sits in a notch and is not attached to the mushroom. The base of the carving in done to look like flagstones and the back extends above the top of the mushroom and is decorated with carved trees, bushes, and flowers and tops with mountains. Carved into the back is “H w. S. Soulssy Soulp. ‘62.”
