Topics include day to day life, Banff events, visitis from friends, photography, painting, weather, events and people in Concord, radio programs, installing electrical outlets in the living room, trips to Bow Lake, Banff Indian Days [including having David and Peggy (Rider) Bearspaw stay the night with Peter and Catharine during a bad storm], the Jasper Park Lodge burning down [July 15], the funeral for John Murray Gibbon, camping/sketching trips to Yoho National Park, several visits by Rockwell and Betty Kent, and leaving for a road trip to Concord for Christmas [Peter and Catharine left in late October and drove to Massachusetts]. Also includes an airmail card.

Many typed letters have hand-written notes and post scripts added throughout. Some letters are marked with a small x in pencil, indicating where Jon Whyte made notes for use in his project "Catharine Robb Whyte, Peter Whyte: Commemorative Portfolio," originally published in 1981. 131 - 07 [dated July 24, 1952] describes making a sound recording with Jacob Twoyoungmen and family. See S37 / 73 for actual recording 131 - 08 appears to have been cut 3/4 up the page prior to accession.

Also includes brochures for Hawaii hotels and a map of the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

- Please note: language pertaining to Indigenous Peoples used throughout is outdated and may be offensive. Letters are hand-written. Some letters are written on letterhead from ships or hotels. Some letters contain small sketches of hotel/motel layouts, road layouts, and room/ship cabin details. Some letters are marked with a small x in pencil, indicating where Jon Whyte made notes for use in his project "Catharine Robb Whyte, Peter Whyte: Commemorative Portfolio," originally published in 1981. Brochures and map are not clearly attached to specific letters so are counted as their own entries. Many letters are written on very thin paper [possibly tracing paper]. 128 / 25 is mis-numbered, missed numbering page 5.

File pertains to an assortment of personal recordkeeping records and contains textual records, correspondence, photograph prints, and newspaper clippings. File documents various purchases and sales (Canmore, Alberta and Sidney, British Columbia, mainly 1985-1986 and 1991-1995), property sales (Banff and Calgary, Alberta, 1972, and a photocopy of the original lease for the Wardle's property in Banff on Muskrat Street, 1921), Dorothy's work and membership with the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies (1991-2001), art sales and appraisals (mainly Carl Rungius, 1977-2001), health and dental records detailing Dorothy's medical history (mainly 1994-2001, but goes back to 1934), a trip to Canmore (Banff Right to Reside (1984), subscriptions and miscellaneous records (including Dorothy's address book; poetry by her father, James Morey Wardle; Dorothy's passport from 1991-1996; various art collector catalogues such as Sotheby's; and commemorative coins), and Sheila Iris (S.I.) Ritchie's personal records (includes birth record from 1927 and death record from 1990).

- Poetry by James Morey (J.M.) Wardle can be found in folder 34 under "miscellaneous."
- Sheila Iris Ritchie was Dorothy's long-term housemate and close friend. Dorothy served as the executor of Sheila's will.
- Dorothy's SIN card was originally included but has since been discarded for privacy concerns.
- Photocopies of the original lease for the property on Muskrat Street were taken from Parks Canada microfiche records in 1993.
