The trunk has a paper tag that reads “Yoho Valley Camp” and a paper sticker that reads “Union Transfer Co. San Francisco, Calif.”.

Design of solar medallions, six of them, on lid, plus date "1602" in steel or iron riveted to lid. Other solar medallions scattered on other surfaces. Most of the edges of the wood are finished with strapping iron. Some wood splitting. Heavy brown colour overall. Label on bottom reads "Mrs. Mackay Plews".
