Small bulb recessed in dome shape and covered with screw-on, octagonal cap with thick, flat lens. Metal cap on other end unscrews for insertion of batteries. Fluted handgrip texture around back end of case.( b) red plastic lens cap silver coloured, squared tube with large, red plastic box switch on side and arrows indicating positions of "on" (up) and "off" (down). Two long magnetic bars on sides of switch box. Octagonal, screw-on red plastic lens cap with flat recessed lens covers small bulb set into dome shape.

(b) flat, grey plastic - moulded plastic with rectangular lens over small bulb recessed in dome shape. Black, rolling switch-button (doesn't work) on side near front. Large metal screw through centre holds sides together. Small black screw near switch. Moulded near bottom of case, "Mallory". (c) Aluminum cylinder - short bright aluminum with one quarter of case at front being a grooved metal lens cap which indicates on glass lens, "twist on" (arrows) may take up to 20 seconds for full power", Two square, black buttons on side of cap.
