Round, hand drum, painted symbols, a single piece of wood 3.0 thick x 15.0 wide is bent into a circle, rawhide is stretched tightly over top and sides then laced through bottom edges, only fragments of hand hold rawhide remains, painted design depicts the brown earth, orange waxing moon, 6 yellow and orange triangular and 1 zig-zag symbol around edge, worn thin and hole ca. 2.5 diameter on edge of moon, inside on wood is painted 1927.

A drum made of hide tightly stretched across a round (wood?) frame. The hide is dyed yellow with a red border and the design is divided into four quadrants by zig-zag lines. A red teepee with two figures in the door flap is drawn at the centre of the drum. Four similar yellow teepees are around the outside with the base of each resting on the red border. Metal disks on nails have been added as jingles.

Description
A round drum of rawhide stretched over a wooden hoop frame. Leather strips are laced through holes at the edge of the skin and pulled tightly across the back to form six spokes of leather which are woven around with another thong at the centre to tighten them even more. A thong loop wrist strap is tied around one spoke. There is slight residue of red paint on the hide’s surface. The letters “EEB BNN” are written in pencil on the back of the drum.
