Replica of a hairbag, (could be displayed Re: Corleigh Belton July 2013) beaded front and back, with rounded bottom corners. The bag has red and white stepped diamonds on a black background with a pink and black border on one side, and a black and white ‘checker-board’ pattern on the reverse with 2 radiating circles near the bottom edge. The bag has a braided hide handle attached at the top corners. There are four pieces of hoof hanging from the bottom edge of the bag. The bag has been sewn shut.

Description
This is a replica of a hairbag (could be displayed Re: Corleigh Belton July 2013). Heart-shaped bag with beading on both sides and red and white bead fringe along the bottom edge. The front has a red and blue geometric pattern on a pink background. The opposite side is hide with a blue, pink and red diamond at centre and a blue and red edge. The bag has a necklace, a thong wrapped with white, geen and red beads, attached to the back of the bag. Tag: ”Hair bag” with “tad’y held long hair” and on reverse ”stuffed it into bag and bag tied to head at hair (?) - now tourist items”

The bag has a braided hide handle (39.0 x 2.0 cm) with fur attached. The bottom edge of the bag has beaded hanging thong with fur tufts at the end.
