Description
Hand drum with round hoop frame covered with hide and brown-grey fur around outside with six long striped features hanging from a buckskin thong spaced evenly around the circumference. Drum head is a circle of hide laced around its edges into the middle of the hoop and painted with a red and blue band around the border with a pencil drawing of a bear's head at the centre. Handholds in the back formed of twisted hide in two loops attached to two strings of twisted hide stretched across the back, with an additional long strap of twisted hide for hanging.See narative.

Five piece regalia set. Each piece is made of red-orange fabric and is decorated with sequins held on with beads.a) Sleeveless top (57.0 x 51.0 cm) with button closure at one shoulder. Each side of the top has three sequin flowers - two red flowers and one yellow and blue flower at centre. b) Large apron (94.5x 92.0 cm) decorated with sequin diamonds and three sections hanging from the bottom edge. The two small side pieces have pointed lines of sequins, a blue plastic circle hanging form a short length of beaded thread, and commercial fringe at the tip. The larger centre piece hanging from the belt has black and silver decorative cloth edging, hanging blue circles, commercial fringe and yellow feathers attached to sequin circles.c) The small apron has a sequin flower, blue haning circles, commercial fringe along the bottom edge, and long thong ties. d,e) Wrist cuffs (14.0 x 13.0 cm) each with a blue flowers and a yellow sequin edge. There are five hanging pieces from the belt - two short pointed pieces at the outside with two rows of fringe, two long hanging sections in the middle with a red and white sequin flower and orange and white beaded scrollwork, and a shorter piece hanging over the middle sections with a rounded bottom hem and a single red and white sequin flower topped with orange and white scrollwork. b) Vest (47.0 x 42.0 cm) with no fasteners. There are red and white sequin flowers and orange and white beaded scrollwork on the front top and back top underlined with fringe.d,e) Leg cuffs (36.5 x 23.5 cm) with two rows of fringe and rounded bottom hems. The collar is edged with pink commercial fringe (14.0 cm long).b) Dress (93.5 x 110.0 cm) of blue taffeta with square pleats at the waist. The dress is decorated with red and white ribbon sewn horizontally to the skirt. c) Belt (10.5 x 65.5 cm) of same fabric as the collar. The belt is edged with white sequins on the long edges and blue sequins on the short edges. There are four repeated red applique shapes, two with white sequin centres, spaced along the length of the belt oulined with blue sequins.
