Description: Three baby's dresses, all have puffed sleeves and high waist with fullness in the skirt, two button closure at back of neck. (a) Light yellow with pink, blue and yellow embroidery, on chest and shirt with a continuous scalloped line on front skirt near the hem. Paper label at back neck with a picture of a baby girl: "For the New-Comer No. 2006 Size 1 T.M. Reg." (b) pink, 37.0 cm long, gathered at chest, lace at collar, white bow at centre of chest. Paper label at back neck a p icture of a baby girl: "For the new-comer No. 1458 sixe 1 T.M. Reg." (c) blue, 42.0 cm long, gathered at chest with pink trim, ribbon trim for collar. (a) and (b) were never used.

Description: Bright green bonnet (calash) with eight folds. Fabric is stitched around shaped metal stays, 14 in all. Neck piece is padded and shaped with wire. Rim has fabric folded or pleated in ribbon effect. Long green ribbon ties at front of neck. Additional long grey ribbon attached to brim higher on face. Inside back is reinforced with burlap on which is glued brown paper. Written in Mary Schaffer’s hand: “18 S.M. Potts 1832 Calasche”. On back, ribbon is tied in bow. Green fabric stitched on back to cover neck.

Description: Silver metal electric clothes iron with a black plastic handle and a black and white fabric-wrapped power cord extending from the below the handle - a small metal cap twists off to the left of the handle so that water can be poured in. On the flat face of the iron is a small circular piece with several holes to allow the steam out at the top near the point - the rest of the face is smooth. On the front of the handle is a red metal badge with the manufacturer’s logo and at the back of the iron below the power cord is a black metal badge with the serial number.
