History / Biographical
Adelia Woodworth Nickerson (1902 - 1977) was the ninth child of Elizabeth and Benjamin F. Woodworth, and was born and raised in Banff. Adelia married Nick Nickerson and later moved to Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
Scope & Content
File consists of one scrapbook produced by Adelia Woodworth and dated 1915. Scrapbook was previously used as a minutes book for community meetings held in Banff. First 10 pages contain news clippings and various typed poems and songs, as well as paper images of King Edward VII, flags of the world and a loose page from the Artistic Publishing Co., Ltd in London. The following 76 pages contain minutes and general notes from meetings in Banff from 1892-1895, naming R.G. Brett, Benjamin Woodworth Sr. and others. Two pages near end of book have additional notes on Australian Cadets.

Alice G. Fulmer, 1896-1989, was a resident and amateur local historian at Banff, Alberta, Canada.
Scope & Content
Fonds consists primarily of 155 topical files prepared by Alice Fulmer as a personal project between 1964 and 1969 and composed of historical notes, transcripts, clippings, ephemera and photographs. Topics center around Banff history and personalities; Canadian Rockies history, flora and fauna; skiing, Indians and miscellaneous Alberta and British Columbia subjects. ; Also includes the marriage record of Fulmer's great-grandparents, 1833; reminiscences about Emmeline Savatard, 1980; and a scrapbook on Banff history and personalities containing mainly Walter P. Fulmer's papers.
Photographs include personal and family photographs; also photographs collected by Alice Fulmer. Photographs pertain to Alice Fulmer, alpine trips, Fulmer family, early Banff activities and buildings, 1886-1967; includes some copies.

Records were filed in an envelope that was titled "Book Notes." Notable people include James Wardle, J.B. Harkin, Pat Brewster, Arthur Unwin, Dr. Brett, Norman Sanson, and Bill Peyto, among others. Notable places and topics include the organization of the Department of the Interior, the Banff-Windemere Highway, Rocky Mountain Park and Park Wardens, Kootenay National Park fires, coal and precious metal mines (e.g. Bankhead, Silver City), trail riding and hiking, research about James Wardle and his accomplishments, Ya-Ha-Tinda, and various parks (e.g. Glacier, Revelstoke, Elk Island, Kootenay, and Yoho). History / Biographical
Cyril and Mary Paris were restaurant owners and skiers at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Cyril Paris, 1904-1981, was son of George Harrison Paris, 1872-1960, who settled in Banff in 1892. George Paris worked as an attendant at Dr. R. G. Brett's Grandview Hotel bathhouse, and, by 1903, Paris had established his own barber shop. He married Ida Winberg and they opened a summer tea house and ice cream parlor on Banff Avenue. In 1922, a restaurant was added to the Paris Tea Room. George Paris was active in the Banff Curling Club and the Banff Skating Club and taught figure-skating. He was an accomplished amateur photographer. George and Ida Paris had four children - Cyril, Georgina (Georgie) and twins, Herb and Ted. Cyril and his brothers were active in the early development of skiing in the Rockies. Cyril Paris was a member of the Banff Ski Club and the Ski Runners of the Canadian Rockies, and was involved with the early days of Skoki Lodge. With his wife, Mary (Howard) Paris, 1910-1989, he shared interests in skiing, winter sports and local affairs.

Fonds consists of correspondence, personal papers, photographs, sound recordings and ephemera regarding Banff history, organizations and individuals, skiing history, events and winter sports. Also includes miscellaneous materials of and pertaining to Paris family members. Photographs pertain mainly to Cyril Paris, skiing, family, friends and associates, local events and personalities. Sound recordings are interviews with George Paris by Cyril and Mary Paris, 195-. Recordings discuss the early days of Banff, the Paris family, Banff development, etc.

Don Harmon, 1917-1997, was a publisher, photographer and businessman at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Harmon operated Byron Harmon Photographs and the Harmony Drug Store after his father's death in 1942. Byron Harmon Photographs was subsequently run by Don Harmon's daughter, Carole Harmon.

Fonds consists mainly of photographs collected by Harmon in the process of his work. Photographs pertain to Banff personalities, events, activities, street views, facilities and buildings, 1883-1967, and includes both original and copy material.
