Description
A pair of brass stirrups with brightly coloured cloisonne enamel flowers in vases worked on outside of stirrups. Flat footrest with arched brass band over, and square brass loop at top of arch. Top surface of footrest has relief cast loose woven knot inside raised, shiny, brass frame outline base of arch wide with rounded shoulders leading into narrow brass band which completes arch. Outside of arch surface has cloisonne red enamel vase holding three branched bouquet at bottom, and blue vase holding single blossom above, where arch narrows. Brass surfaces highly polished. Edges of arch and base have blue enamelled rectilinear trim pattern.
