The slippers feature a typical South American geometrical design tightly knitted in red, purple and white in a wide band across the instep and back of the heel flap. The toe is decorated with a simple red and black diamond pattern. The sole is knitted with texture. Each cuff is very stiff and repeats the colours of the foot in a much finer, though similar, design which seems to be stitched over a knitted base. The top band of the cuff has a design of white triangles outlined in black on an orange background and can be adjusted by a black and white twisted cord that is threaded through the loops of the last row of stitches.
