- Description
- Handmade fabric doll wearing pink-edged green chaps, a blue body suit, and a pink tunic with a light green braided string wrapped around the chest, as well as a kind of necklace made from red and yellow beads that wraps around the back. Small pieces of red felt decorated with blue and black beads mimic moccasins on the doll’s feet. The doll’s face is stitched on with black thread and it has long black braided [human?] hair tied with short strips of red fabric. There is also a small ponytail tied with red fabric sticking up the top of the head - to either side of this ponytail are beaded strings that frame the face. The leg and arm joints are thinned so that the limbs have basic mobility, but are not fully articulated.

Eisenhower [Castle Mountain] with trees and the Bow River in the foreground in the depressed center of the plate - pink, purple, yellow, and green flower clusters decorate the rest of the plate and the edge of the plate is lined with gold.Castle Mountain [Miistukskoowa] was renamed Mt. Eisenhower in 1946 by Prime Minister Mackenzie King in honour of General Dwight D. Eisenhower’s involvement in World War II. Some local residents resented the name change and in 1979 it was reverted back to Castle Mountain, with the southeast end kept “Eisenhower Tower.”

- Two round glass light fixtures with round central supports. The edges of the fixtures are slightly pinched, creating a wave design, and have molded ridges running from the center to the rim - likewise, the central supports have molded ridges horizontally throughout, and a slightly raised lip. Due to the accumulation of dust on one fixture, they most likely sat on top of a light facing downward. There is no makers mark.
