- Broad mouthed vase resembling drinking glass. Base is circular, ridged and painted in gold. Gold bands at top of base and at glass rim. Two each moose and deer burgundy coloured oval decorations on sides, body of vase bulbous near base then slightly narrows and flares out to broad rim.

- Japanese samurai sword with blue silk cord wrapped handle and black enamelled scabbard: (a) sword, long, slightly curved, steel blade joined to hilt with wide copper band. Wooden handle wrapped with blue silk cord with pebbly white sharkskin showing through diamond-shaped openings in wrapping. Metal cap at end of handle with relief of squatting figure reading scroll. Small cast figures of two deer caught beneath cord on either side of handle. Metal band at base of handle with relief of gilded figure in reed boat. Rectangular sword guard with cast relief of chrysanthemums and butterfly with holes cut through each side to accommodate small dirk handle. (b) dirk, steel bladed with copper handle with relief casting of brass dragon on one side. (c) scabbard, slightly curved wood covered with black enamel containing green flecks, blunt end, top of scabbard has slot on one side leading to pocket in scabbard to accommodate small dirk. Opposite side from slot has semi-circular horn ? lug threaded with a length of black silk cord. Note: small band at top of dirk pocket missing, enamel cracked and peeling in many places, especially near top, semi-circular lug loose.

- Description
- A hide scraper made from the leg bone of a deer or elk, from just below the knee, and carved into a squared shape. The scraper is hollowed and one half of its length is cut away leaving a flattened sharpened serrated end. The animal’s hide is still on the knee joint at the top and there is a hanging thong threaded through a drilled hole at the knee. The bone is tightly wrapped with strips of rawhide (or sinew?) one third of its length to hold the two pieces together where the bone was split.

- A folding pocket knife with the handle made from the hoof and leg (skin and hair attached) of a very small deer with a metal 'shoe' nailed to the bottom. The leg has been split to accommodate a long blade on one side and a corkscrew on the other. A T-shaped metal crosspiece with a hinged lever locks the blade open and is released by pressing. The base of the blade is marked with “Henry Boker & Co.”, “Improved Cutlery”, and a stamp of deer antlers.
