Description
Two Japanese blue and white porcelain plates, shaped like shallow bowls on 1.3 cm. high foot. Motif on topside is a dragon in midground on curved lines which suggest a waterfall, and a scroll or spiral on far right. One dragon claw creeps between two of the horizontals, underside of plates have three identical motifs, each of which is four overlapping circles surrounded by curly blue ribbon like lines and bows. Foot is painted in a vertical stripe. Although both plates are from the same pattern, slight difference indicates that they were hand painted.
