- A long straight knife with fluted wooden handle and scabbard ornately trimmed with brass. (a) dagger, short, narrow, pointed, double edged steel blade with small, dark, fluted wooden handle. Blade guard, cast of brass with raised curlicue design, turns upward at sides, handle tip of cast brass with similar design and small lug with hole through at one side Note: blade guard loose; wooden handle cracked along length; blade pitted. (b) scabbard, narrow and straight, made of two pieces of wood held together by two rings of heavy cast brass with raised floral motifs, becoming oval medallions on one side with cast relief of dragon like figures. Cast brass bands at mouth and tip repeat dragon floral motif of other two bands and have floral motif cut through exposing pebbly stone inlay in wood. Brass ring near top with small brass loop on one side.

- Two Japanese blue and white porcelain plates, shaped like shallow bowls on 1.3 cm. high foot. Motif on topside is a dragon in midground on curved lines which suggest a waterfall, and a scroll or spiral on far right. Horizontal lines in varying hues of blues are interrupted by a white pyramid in background suggesting, perhaps, Mt. Fuji. One dragon claw creeps between two of the horizontals, underside of plates have three identical motifs, each of which is four overlapping circles surrounded by curly blue ribbon like lines and bows. Foot is painted in a vertical stripe. Although both plates are from the same pattern, slight difference indicates that they were hand painted.

Small cast figures of two deer caught beneath cord on either side of handle. Metal band at base of handle with relief of gilded figure in reed boat. Rectangular sword guard with cast relief of chrysanthemums and butterfly with holes cut through each side to accommodate small dirk handle. (b) dirk, steel bladed with copper handle with relief casting of brass dragon on one side. (c) scabbard, slightly curved wood covered with black enamel containing green flecks, blunt end, top of scabbard has slot on one side leading to pocket in scabbard to accommodate small dirk. Opposite side from slot has semi-circular horn ? lug threaded with a length of black silk cord.
