A box made of wood with fitted joints on the corners with a bottom that has three slats of wood nailed on. On each short side of the box (no lid) in black lettering “50 LBS.”, in the middle “POLAR STUMPING POWDER” followed by “6 = 19 = 55”; below in red lettering “20% STRENGTH, two ovals with “C-I-L” followed by “1 1/4 x 8”. On one of the longer sides in black lettering “MADE IN CANADA BY CANADIAN INDUSTRIES (1954) LIMITED FACTORIES AT JAMES ISLAND, B.C. BELOEIL, P.Q. BRAINERD, MAN. NOBEL ONTARIO, CALGARY ALTA. and on the other side printed in black lettering “HIGH EXPLOSIVES -- DANGEROUS CLASS III - DIVISION 1” and “B.T.C. 14 surrounded in a black rectangle.
