- Spheroid container with small neck and opening topped with loose fitting, domed lid which rests over jar neck. Overall white glaze with landscape including three figures, and lid has single figure on it. Calligraphy painted on bottom which has a trimmed foot. Pink and turquoise scroll decoration on jar near neck possibly created with wax resist technique.

- Description
- A finely painted figurine of an elegantly dressed, standing Japanese woman, made of bisqued clay, she is glued to a black painted square pedestal of wood. She is on gatas, an orange skirt, and a white flowered kimono which is red principally, and hanging down her back a white panel with rose, blue and silver patterns. On her head a bandeau of red, gold rose and green, face also finely done in pale pink white, molded nose, painted eyes, brows, and lips. The object was probably slip cast, bisque fired, and hand painted.

Horses were brought to Japan from North China and Mongolia.
