(c) a rotund older woman wearing brown dress with full skirt, black hemmed, a calf-length apron of black with blue and red vertical stripes, a white blouse visible at the bodice, and a necklace of roses. She is white haired, hair tied in a bun, and has a smiling expression, arms crossed. All are cut in deft, sure, simple wood carver's strokes, are caricatured slightly, and are strongly painted.
