- The base of this trophy is made from wood. The shape of the base is rectangular with one large wood plaque on the front that reads “Catharine Whyte Memorial Trophy, 1906 - 1979” directly under this are five smaller shield shaped plaques. Standing on top of the base and made out of bronze is a male skier. This male skier is leaning against his skies with one arm wrapped around them . In the other hand, that is placed close to his hip, he holds both ski poles. This man is wearing short pants, a jacket and a peaked cap.

The portion the skier is skiing on comes out approx. 4 inches from the bronze slab, and angles down at a 45 degree angle mimiking a mountain ski trail.The skier is facing left, bent at the knees and waist, with poles up and back. He is wearing a hat and gazes strait ahead. This sits on a black wooden base with a plaque in centre and 12 individual name plaques.
