- Five men are sitting in a group on logs and stumps. All are dressed as if they might be cowboys. Three men on the right appear to be talking with one another and a second group of two men on the left appear to be having a second conversation. In the foreground between the two small groups are some cooking utensils, frying pans and tin cans. A creek on the left edge of the painting flows down between the men. Two tree trunks are on either side of the painting. A man on the left is leaning on one of them. In the background is a log cabin and a fence that runs in front of it.
