Description
A yellow box of golf tees with 10 golf tees inside. a) On the front of the yellow box are two white rectangles and in the centre an image of a white golf tee with a golf scene behind it - a woman swinging and a man carrying the golf bag. The top rectangle reads “ “PEG” “ and the bottom rectangle “GOLF TEE”. Underneath the bottom rectangle reads “IT FITS YOUR FINGERS.” There is also handwriting that reads “Med.” On the right side of the box is a white rectangle bordered with yellow, which reads “THE GRANBY MFG. CO. GRANBY QUE. PATENT No. 274758”. The back side of the box has two rectangles top and bottom, which each feature a scene of a golf course. The top rectangle is a scene of a clubhouse and green with flag. The bottom rectangle is a scene of a green surrounded by hills and trees. In the centre of the back is a white circle with a black silhouette of a person swinging a club and the words “CLEAN SMOOTH AND EASY TO USE”. At the bottom of the back side is handwriting that says “Med”. On the left side of the box is a white rectangle bordered with yellow, which reads “These Tees are not metal so will no injure the club head or mowing equipment. They are not affected by moisture and will never lose their color.” On the top side of the box is a white rectangle bordered with yellow, which reads “THIS BOX CONTAINS CELLULOID GOLF TEES”. Description
A deconstructed golf tee box with an illustration of a golfer with older style golf clothes (kilt, long socks, suit jacket and hat) and golf club in his hands. The illustration is featured on the main part of the box, with a cut along the golfers head, clubhouse, and brand name (“PEG”) to suggest it were cutouts when the box was folded together. The background of the box is yellow with a green grass on the bottom fourth. A green stripe is along the middle of the box horizontally. On the left wing of the box is a large sized golf ball on a tee with a price tag hanging off the top. Written on the box at towards the top reads “PRINTED IN CANADA”. Near this is a handwritten note that reads “To Elmer Charlton from Dr K” with no illegible words. In the middle the selling points are printed which reads, “ “PEG” TRADE MARK” below this reads “GOLF” with a golf tee in the middle “TEES.” On the bottom of the main side of the box it reads “Celluloid tees will not mar club heads”. On the right wing it reads “SMOOTH CLEAN”. On the bottom wing of the box it reads, “NOTICE TEES SELL BEST WHEN NICELY DEMONSTRATED. FOLD COVER IN THE CENTER AND INSERT THIS PORTION BEHIND THE LITTLE BOXES. PUT EXTRA TEE THROUGH THE SLOT ON THE COVER. SELL CELLOPHANE PACKAGE LAST.”
