- A pair of binoculars (a) in a case (b).a) A pair of black leather binoculars with a brass frame and plastic eyepieces. A hinge on the arm at the middle adjusts the lenses to eye width. The focus is adjusted by a large notched plastic wheel on the arm. Further adjustment can be made by twisting the right eyepiece, with a scale reading “_5 0 + 5”. A narrow leather strap is attached to brass eyes on the body of the binoculars On the left side is “Voigtlander & Sohn Braunschweig & London No. 3380”b) The binocular case is tan-coloured leather with a flip top lid that is secured with a strap that buckles through a leather covered buckle on the front. There are leather straps on the back, to secure the case to a belt, and a neckstrap attached to the sides of the case. The case is lined with red velvet and built up inside to fit the binoculars securely. The case bears the handwritten initials “-.H.W.” and a date (1911?).

- A pair of binoculars (a) in a case (b).a) A pair of Telact 8X (magnification) field binoculars. The eyepieces are black plastic with adjustment rings and a marked scale on each. The lenses at the front are encased in black coloured brass. The binoculars have a long thin leather hanging strap. The name “P.A. Moore” is written on the metal by both of the lenses.b) A tan leather case curved to fit binoculars with a flip top which can be secured with a strap through the leather covered buckle at the front of the case. The case has a long adjustable neck strap with a leather covered buckle attached through narrow straps to brass lugs on each side of the case. The rectangular silver is shaped into a circular form, each end has two holes (.03cm from each edge, 1.50cm apart) to put nails through and attach it to a walking stick. The middle of the band has the Skyline Trail Hikers of the Canadian Rockies logo; a shield- shaped crest with the letters “SLTH” on top, a hiking boot crossed by a walking stick or alpenstock, and underneath it a “C”, the bottom of the walking stick passing between, and then the “R”.
