Description
A brown glass bottle containing a brig sailing vessel (ship) with two square-rigged masts. The brown bottle makes it difficult to distinguish detail as it is too dark. The bottle however does has a very unique shape adding to the character of the object; the bottle is heavily sloped allowing it to rest solidly on its side. When the object is in its natural position the neck and cap of the bottle is facing towards the viewer left side. The wood ship has been painted white with a black trim and the masts are painted red and white. The ship is sailing on a turbulent sea that engulfs the entirety of the bottle’s bottom. The bottle has been enclosed using a cork with a cap around it. The green-painted cork and cap has suffered a loss to the paint surface revealing the black underlay. On the bottom a piece of masking tape has been placed and “J in XIII” has been written with black marker.
