Two Russian hand painted pins on wooden forms. (a) is an oval form with a safety pin embedded in the back, and on the front a scene framed in black with gold squiggles. Two dancing horses and a dancing peasant playing a horn before a turquoise gold-flecked sky. (b) a circular pin similarly made with a vignetted scene of a princely sort on his knees, carrying a bow in his left hand, and perhaps protesting his love to a rather haughty sort of haloed princess who might be rising out of waves. Both have writing in Cyrillic on their backs, untranslated, and (b) additionally has Berezhka (“Birch tree”) sticker and price: 13.70
