Paper label at back neck a p icture of a baby girl: "For the new-comer No. 1458 sixe 1 T.M. Reg." (c) blue, 42.0 cm long, gathered at chest with pink trim, ribbon trim for collar. Description
A simply cut, woven blue wool skirt with brightly coloured, woven, wide border at hem and repeated on sash which passes through belt loops at the waist. Border of two red bands on either side of a white band with diamond pattern, has been added separately to bottom of solid blue skirt. Sash is simply the white band of the pattern and fringed at either end. Skirt is fully lined with an acetate slip of the same colour. Hem is held in place with a fabric glue rather than stitching.
