- A watercolour landscape of trees done on brown paper. In the foreground the bottom halves of four trees dominate the painting. The top of the roots and are visible in the brown ground in front of the trees. Behind the four trees in the background is an open field that leads to the outline of the top of a forest at right and a bunch of deciduous trees at left. The colours used in the painting are primarily blues, greens and browns. The artist signature is written in pencil in the bottom rhc. Au verso, written in pencil about 1/2 way up along the right side are measurements,“10 1/2 x 14 6 1/2 x 6/ 17 x 20”.
