- A mountain and river scene. In the foreground a river that is surrounded by yellowing grass and pine trees exits the LLC. There are two rocks jutting out of the river at the bottom of the piece. On the left side of the river, going out of the frame of the painting, trees stand on a raised surface. In the background, mostly on the right hand side, is a range of mountains with four main snow capped peaks. In front of this range and behind the river is another mountain that is cropped by the TRC and right side of mat. This mountain has a slide that meets the trees at the bottom. The main colours in this piece are browns, yellow, greens and a faint blue.

- The sky takes up the top half of the piece, and is painted with a light blue wash. There is some fluffy white cloud activity. The foreground is a close up view of a mountain or large foothill. Nothing is growing on this portion of the piece but a small coniferous tree on the right side. A patch of yellow grass grows around this tree. This mountain or foothill has a since of being of a high elevation, through which another mountain range can be seen in the close distance as the foreground dips in the center. These two portions take up the other half of the piece.
