Description
The general colours are green, blue, grey, brown, mauve, purple and white. The painting is divided in half for dominance. The bottom-half is the icy blue/green and white of the frozen lake; on the viewer’s far right there are two small evergreens in the snow. The top-half comprises the mountains and glacier; viewer’s right the scree slope and upward sweep of a mountain, moving to the left is the next mountain with its white and blue glacier top and blue sweep down the middle of the mountain. Lower mid-centre is the glacier snow field and to the left is a brown and white mountain. The gloomy sky is grey and white swirling clouds with hints of yellow through the grey and blue sky beyond.

Description
A silkscreened folded card with a view of Bow Lake, mostly obscured by the vegetation in front of the lake, and the Crowfoot Glacier behind. The general colours are blue, grey, green, rust/orange and white. The image is dominated by the rust and green-coloured vegetation in front of the lake and the mountains and glacier behind. Beyond the vegetation is the blue/green and grey lake. The top two-thirds comprises the mountains and glacier; viewer’s right the green/grey scree slope and upward sweep of a mountain, moving to the left is the next mountain with its white and blue/grey glacier top and its grey/blue shadowed side on the left. Lower mid-centre is the glacier snow field and to the left is a grey/blue hill. The sky above is flat and grey.

Description
A commercial print glued to a card; it has dominant colours of green, yellow, grey, and blue. In the foreground is the low green vegetation and the grey/blue rocks on the trail to Assiniboine from the Sunshine area. Two people on horseback are on the viewer’s right; they are almost at the top of a pass. The pass is lower than the hills on either side of it. There is a line of green coniferous trees growing on both sides. Blue mountains are beyond, and above those, a blue/grey sky. On the white border lhc written in longhand is, “High Country, Canada” and on the rhc it is signed in longhand “Middleton”.

The bottom third is a blue lake with grey and white reflections from the banks, mountains, talus slopes, and trees above. The mid two-thirds depicts sparse trees, trail, and slopes to the left, waterfalls (Seven Veils), snow-covered mountain with glacier in the background (Mt. Oesa), mid-to-far right a mountain in varying shades of grey rising to almost the top of the painting (Opabin Mountain). Top portion blue sky with clouds. The extreme bottom and right hand side is left mostly unpainted.Signed, in script, blue watercolour paint bottom right hand corner “Middleton 78”. The lake bleeds into the signature.
