- A pair of empty Royal Dry Plate boxes, used for storing lantern slides. a) A Royal Dry Plate box with a label on the lid. Along the edge of the lid is a red border, in a dark brown square white text reads “ROYAL” “COMPLETE DIRECTIONS INSIDE PACKAGE” “FOR SALE BY ALL DEALERS IN PHOTOGRAPHIC GOODS”, an illustration of a take on the Royal Crest is in the middle of the label, and “Dry Plate MANUFACTURED BY CANADIAN KODAK CO. LIMITED TORONTO. CANADA”. Along one of the edges of the lid is a sticker that reads in handwriting “Lantern Slides”, the opposite edge has another label that is black with red text. The red text reads “1 Dozen 3 1/4 x 4 1/4” “ROYAL PLATE Special Extra Rapid” and “Emulsion Number”. The bottom of the box is lined with tape, along the edges. b) A similar Royal Dry Plate box with different colouring. The top of the lid features a label sticker(?) the background is a bluish-grey with a brown square with the text that reads “ROYAL” “COMPLETE DIRECTIONS INSIDE PACKAGE” “FOR SALE BY ALL DEALERS IN PHOTOGRAPHIC GOODS”, an illustration of a take on the Royal Crest is in the middle of the label, and “Dry Plate MANUFACTURED BY CANADIAN KODAK CO. LIMITED TORONTO. CANADA”. Underneath the label is more text that reads “The plates in this package have been made with great care and while they will be replaced if found to be defective in manufacture, they are sold without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied.” One side of the edge of the lid has a black label with red text. The red text reads “1 Dozen 3 1/4 x 4 1/4” “ROYAL PLATE Special Extra Rapid” and “Emulsion Number”. The bottom of the box is lined with tape, along the edges. There is some handwriting along the box but it is illegible. 2.8 x 11.7 x 9.1 cm.

- A green-ish booklet of watercolour papers. Stapled at the left side, the text on the front of the booklet reads “Nicholson’s Peerless Japanese Transparent Water Colors” (in a decorative font), “COMPLETE EDITION” “FIFTEEN COLORS” (on the right side), along the bottom “ “THE SELF-BINDING COLORS” ”. There is a stamp of a mythical creature in black. On the back side of the booklet, “THE ORIGINAL AND ONLY” “PEERLESS” “JAPANESE TRANSPARENT WATER COLORS” “THE WORLD-FAMOUS” “SELF-BLENDING WATER COLORS”, a signature “Chas. F. Nicholson” in a fancy cursive font, and vertically along the spine “MADE IN U.S.A.” The inside of the booklet features many pages with information on the product, instructions to use, and a price sheet for more products. There are fifteen colours in the booklet, “BRILLIANT YELLOW” “DEEP YELLOW” “ORANGE YELLOW” “FLESH TINT” “GERANIUM PINK” “JAPONICA SCARLET” “ROYAL CRIMSON” “MAHOGANY BROWN” “SEPIA BROWN” “LIGHT GREEN” “DARK GREEN” “SKY BLUE” “DARK BLUE” “WISTARIA VIOLET” “PEARL GRAY”. In between each piece of watercolour paper, is a normal sheet of paper with information on each colour and Japanese (?) script. Some colours have been used, such as the yellows, greens and blues.

- A bright yellow booklet of watercolour papers. Stapled at the left side, the text on the front of the booklet reads “KODAK” (in red block print), “TRANSPARENT WATER COLOR STAMPS” with a red and black stripe on left and right side of the text, “MADE IN ROCHESTER, N.Y., U.S.A. BY” “EASTMAN KODAK COMPANY” “TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.” and a yellow sticker with text “SOLE IMPORTER INTO CANADA” “CANADIAN KODAK CO., LIMITED” “TORONTO”. On the back of the booklet are numbers that have been stamped out in a dot pattern, only read from the inside of the back page “ 450105”. The inside of the booklet features many pages with information on the product and instructions to use. There are twelve colours in the booklet, “LIGHT YELLOW” “DEEP YELLOW” “FLESH TINT” “BRILLIANT RED” “SCARLET” “SEPIA BROWN” “FOLIAGE GREEN” “DEEP GREEN” “LIGHT BLUE” “DARK BLUE” VIOLET” “STONE GRAY”. In between each piece of watercolour paper, is a piece of wax paper. The watercolour pages are perforated to be easier to tear. Brilliant red and stone gray are the only two colours used, one piece.
