- A letter knife and stamp box of brass enamelled with white and black and a carved ivory elephant atop each. (a) letter knife, plain, double edged, dull, pointed steel blade. Solid brass handle enamelled black on bottom, and black cloisonne outlined with white on top. Carved three dimensional elephant with curled trunk walks atop handle.(b) stamp box rectangular brass box with flat lid enamelled with black cloisanne outlined in white. Carved three dimensional elephant roaring with raised trunk stands atop lid. Lid hinged with piano hinge. Inside of box has slanted bottom separated into three compartments for stamps. Contains one 7 cents Canadian stamp with flying goose.

- A simple rectangular copper box, silver plated on sides and top. Lift off lid slips down over small copper lip. Top of lid has poem engraved in calligraphy of east-Asian writing. Box contains translation of poem on "American Mail Line" writing paper. "Friend of my belove(d) Ink. Friend of some birth place. Spring breeze is based of Writting (sic) brush. Always holding on the hand. Letter writting (sic) is mutially(?) in need. It will not be degeneralate (sic - degenerate?). Box contains small piece of compressed solid ink ? with east-Asian character stamped on side in gold, and inside is stained black.

Carved kneeling figure at stern wielding paddle, and seated figure at bow holding a two pronged spear,atlati, which rests in groove carved at bow. Figures carved from same piece of wood as canoe, paddle and harpoon separate. Outside of canoe, hair and features of figures painted black. Harpoon wrapped with black thread at joint of prongs, black stripes painted on paddle.

- Eight small souvenir paper fans with thin bamboo handles. Red is most dominant colour on all fans. Fans (a-f) are palmate in shape while (g-i) are smaller and circular. All five have a little mirror placed upper left center, and a blue and yellow fan motif at the base where handle meets paper. (a) image of Japanese woman, bottom left, in 3/4 profile facing right, Japanese male, upper right, faces woman. Small mirror makes up one side of a suspended box. Both figures have bright red lips. (b) Male figure bottom left, looks upwards towards figure of Japanese woman, upper left. Mirror in shape of full moon in background is partially hidden by midground post bearing Japanese calligraphy. (c) Two Japanese males in 3/4 profile facing each other, dressed in official looking clothing. Both are mustached. Mirror appears as one side of street lantern in background. - A flat-based, straight-sided basket with flush-fitting conical lid which terminates in a reverse topknot cap. The walls of the box are decorated with two thunderbirds, wings extended, and clasping each an arrow. These major design elements are in black. At the ends of the arrows are flying birds in red. At the bottom limit of the wall is an orange band in three lines of twining, outlined by two lines of twining in purple, a design motif repeated on the lid, and the lid "topknot" is in red surmounting rings of green and yellow.
