A plastic container with a white paper lid surrounded by black plastic. There is a small round hole in the centre of the paper lid. On the front is black lettering (outlined in black) “ALBERTA CENTENNIAL MOUNTAIN EXPEDITION”. There is a black line simulating mountains over the writing, and the sole of a boot, viewer’s left with “AC” printed, then a simulated mountain with “2005” and on the heel of the sole an “E”. On the bottom of the container there is a raised triangle with a “2” in the middle, underneath that, “PRETIUM”, and underneath that , viewer’s right “16”.

(a) A white helmet with a black border and an insert for skull protection and safety. The insert is white foam covered with ridged teal blue cover, a black leather chin strap with metal buckle, inside plastic headband, clear plastic covering, fabric, criss-cross rigging support with cord and heavy-duty nylon strip suspension to create a space between skull and hardhat. A metal zipper attaching (to three quarters of the insert) earflaps outer black plastic inner lined with red and black corduroy. There is a white fabric tag with “M” in red on the inner grey headband and a gold and black oblong label glued on the front with black lettering on a gold-coloured background “Russell Sporting Goods CALGARY”. Written in black felt pen on the interior of the shell “JAPAN”.(b) The ear flap detachable portion with the other side of the corresponding helmet zipper. Made out of black plastic with a black and red corduroy lining.
