A free standing block on which are carved two faces each side (front and back) the whalebone is a mottled colour and irregular in texture, one side the larger face is on top, other side the larger face is on the bottom, each expression is different, the features are stylized but distinct.

A carved and painted face, from a solid block of cedar. The back is carved out to accommodate a person's face, two holes at ear level to attach string to hold onto face. Heavy black eyebrows, round black circles for eyes, red lips and nostrils, the lips are turned down.
