Description: View of a coastal village. A shoreline bordered by seven buildings extends diagonally upwards from the lower left-hand corner to the right-hand side of the picture. The near foreground contains grey rocks and a path leading down to two brick-red buildings placed just to the right of centre. Two smaller buildings with a clothesline hanging between them are found in the left part of the foreground. Light blue-grey water stretches from the shore to the horizon to meet a sky of similar colour. A brick-red sail boat is anchored near the shore on the left.

Six buildings, five brick-red, and one green, are scattered across the foreground. Near the picture's centre, a tall light-brown pole rises vertically to reach the sky. Numerous houses and poles are seen in the middle distance. The upper half of the composition is filled by a band of light-grey clouds hanging above a medium-blue sky.
