- A seascape shows waves rolling up on to the shore. In the bottom left corner are a number of rocks. A thin strip of brown sand runs across the bottom of the painting. The shallow water on shore is painted in tones of yellow. The waves are white-capped. The sky is full of yellow-pink clouds. It appears as if the sun is rising or setting behind them. A patch of blue sky is visible in the top right corner.
