- Two matte grey metal boxes used to house 35mm slides. Both have hinged lids that latch closed with two latches on the front to either side of a central rectangular handle. The interiors of the boxes have slots for the slides built into the base. One box has a red and white paper adhesive label in the front right corner of the lid that has “I” written in black ink. On the front of the box between the right-hand latch and the handle is another red and white paper adhesive label that reads “INTRODUCTORY” in black ink. The second box has two different shaped red and white paper adhesive labels in the front right corner of the lid that read “NOVA SCOTIA PRAIRIES TREES QUIET PLACES” and “II” in black ink. Between the right-hand latch and the handle on the front of the box is a third red and white paper adhesive label that reads “NOVA SCOTIA PRAIRIES TREES QUIET PLACES” in blue ink. Underneath the handle is a badly faded manufacturer sticker. There is a small red ribbon tied to the handle. On the inside of the lid is a rectangular piece of paper adhered with a piece of clear tape - on the paper is typed “Hi handsome hunting man [/] Fire your little gun [/] Bang! Now the animal [/] is dead and dumb and done. [/] Nevermore to peep again, [/] Creep again, leap again [/] Eat or sleep or drink again! ][/] Oh - What Fun...” Also inside is a small tartan pouch filled with rice, most likely a weight.
