- One sterling souvenir spoon from the World’s Columbia Exposition, Chicago, Illinois in 1893. The front of the spoon has, in relief: a head surrounded by a laurel leaf wreath on the tip of the handle, underneath that “WORLD’S COLUMBIA EXPOSITION”, Maritime emblems on the handle, and a ship at sea on the bowl. On the back, on the tip of the handle, is a circle of laurel leaves, inside the wreath a king wearing a crown, below crossed swords, underneath that a globe with “1492 1893”, below that a circle with “ THE WORLD’S COLUMBIA EXPOSITION SEAL CHICAGO, ILLINOIS”, under that “STERLING”.

- A black basalt tea service made for the opening of the south wing of the Banff Springs Hotel in 1907. All of the pieces have a black unglazed exterior, glazed interior, green glazing around the lids, rims and touches on the handles. Each piece has a multi-coloured (white, blue , green, yellow red and white) shield made up of the provinces’ coat of arms, underneath that, a ribbon with the word “CANADA” and underneath “BANFF”. On the top of the shield is a royal crown. Each piece has an identification number in green on the bottom. Painted in green on the base are: (a) the teapot with a lid (8.5x14.0cm wide) “A3455 11”; (b ) the milk jug (10.0X9.0cm wide) (“42” carved into the basalt) “C3455 9”; (c) the lidded sugar bowl (7.5X10.0cm wide) “C3455 7”; (d) the small creamer (5.5x11.0cm wide) “C3455 7”. - A soft, deerskin, souvenir notebook cover with a painted design on the front. One piece of deerskin (22.50cm in length), is folded over to make a cover for a notebook (missing). The front of the cover has “- Notes -“ painted in a brown colour on top, an image of a person wearing a feather headdress painted white, red and black, paddling a red, yellow, white and black canoe. The paddle is yellow. There are blue, white and black straight and wavy lines simulating moving water around the canoe. In the background, to the viewer’s left, there is an outline in black of a rock, behind which are green, yellow and black trees, and an outline, in black and yellow, of a mountain much further away in distance. On the viewer’s right are more trees in green, yellow and black. Below the painted man and canoe the words “Banff” and underneath “Canada” are painted in brown. There are some diagonal lines painted around the edges of the cover simulating fringes. When opened and flap is lifted, starting 0.50cm from the fold, the leather is stitched all around with brown thread to attach a small horizontally-cut piece of leather (2.0cmx7.5wide) for the notebook to hold the notebook. On the viewer’s right there is also a piece of folded leather (2.30cmx2cm wide) stitched on. This piece extends 1.50cm beyond the edge, creating a space to hold a pencil vertically.

There is a small, gold-covered royal crown on the top and a royal blue ribbon hanging from below the badge. The gold lettering on the front of the ribbon reads “A Royal Welcome from BANFF”. The metal crown and the ribbon are inserted under the button top and safety back, secured by the piece of metal turned under the rim becoming the vertical straight pin to attach the badge onto fabric.
