The medal depicts a seated woman placing a laurel wreath on the head of a genuflecting youth, and the words “Canadian Amateur Athletic Union” along with a date in roman numerals “MDCCCXXXII…

- A round silver medal hanging by two chains, each with three links, from a bar depicting a charging buffalo. The medal depicts a seated woman placing a laurel wreath on the head of a genuflecting youth, and the words “Canadian Amateur Athletic Union” along with a date in roman numerals “MDCCCXXXIII”. There is a low relief wreath of maple leaves on the back of the medal along with an inscription “2nd Pole Vault Winnipeg 1909”. The reverse of the medal also has hallmarks and “S25 Sterling”.
