Description
A botanical still life drawing of 6 or 7 different kinds of flowers in a grey vase. Flowers are deep blue, orange, light yellow, light pink, deep pink and white. Foliage is green. The vase has horizontal markmaking, giving the illusion of texture to the surface. Inscription on the back was written by one of her nieces, either Priscilla, Serena or Emily Potts. It reads, “Painted by my / Aunt Mary Ann Potts / about 1820”
