A banjo clock with the front of the frame completely gilded. The clock has a rectangular glass door at the bottom, painted with a battle scene between two tall ships, opens to reveal a pendulum (push button release on side of clock). The tall rectangular stem has a glass panel painted with entwined U.S. emblems (shield, etc.). The clock’s round face is covered with clear glass and has a Roman numeral dial.
