Description
A metal butter dish with a high domed lid that has a large flower engraved boldly on one side. The rim of the dish is flattened and has an ornate triangular shaped handle at one side and two metal slots sticking out from the other (probably to hold knife). The dish has four triangular legs, in the same design as the handle, that support the dish. The base is decorated with a drawing of a tepee and has the initials “I.B.”. The dish is also marked with “Standard Silver Co. Ltd. Toronto Quadruple Plate 257 Hard White Metal”.

The teepee is situated just right of the center, and spans almost the entire height of the piece. The ground is covered with stones, and several other teepees are arranged in the background. It is a stylized piece with the lines the black of the paper. There are hills and pine trees in the background. In the bottom left corner of the print there seems to be marks that indicate some text of sort, but the cataloger is unable to discern.
