Description
A rectangular shaped wall hanging with a red border. The outer edge and the border between the red and the light yellow background is stitched with criss cross and straight stitches. Inside the light yellow background are women and children with dogs. The scene is set up in three tears. Along the upper section on the left are two dogs, in the center there is a male, female and a child. On the far right is a teepee. The middle section includes a couple of dogs and a female with a child on her back. The bottom section showes two more dogs on the left, a male figure in the center and a small animal on the far right is being attacked by four birds. All of the figures and most of the animals are made from skin cut out shapes and are stitched on and detailed with black, yellow, blue, red and a light pink fiber thread. The outside red border is made up of six pieces that are attached to create the full border.
