Description
A comb of wooden tines which radiate like the spokes of a wheel, through a section of arc from an extended handle. They are made of bamboo. At the focus they are bound in wire. Either side of the wedge of tines is encased in a darker wooden carved face plate which extends up to face the handle as well and the face plates are held to the extensions of the struts by fine brass wire, a shaft of wire running through the tines between the face plates and curled at its ends. A lace of fine brass wire separates as it binds the tines below the face plates. The face plates are carved with small stroke designs.
