Description
A black and white engraving print. The print depicts a rural western town street scene. On the left hand side there is a woman standing on a balcony of a wooden building, leaning over and looking down at the street below. Down on ground level in front of the same building are two men. One of the men is sitting on a chair and the other has his arm up leaning against the building. Beside them are two pigs. In the background are more buildings and a man in a hat is walking behind three cows. In the top right there are dark clouds and vertical lines coming down from the clouds that represent rain. There is a thin black line bordering the image. The print is done in black ink. Under the image in the bottom left corner is the title written in pencil, “HEADINGLY I” and in the bottom rhc is the artist signature, “W J Phillips”. In the bottom right corner of the paper in blue pencil is “9/3” The print is mounted on to white matte board and fastened with plastic corner holders.

Description
An engraving print. The image contains buildings, forest, clouds, people and a totem pole. In the foreground a woman wrapped in a blanket is standing beside a totem pole that has an eagle head at the top. To the left, past the woman and totem pole, stands a group of four people, three men and a child. Behind them and trailing into the distance to the left are four wooden buildings. A figure is near the entrance of the first building. In the background behind the buildings is forest and tall trees and above the trees are clouds. At the bottom left corner of the image is a wooden boardwalk. The print is done in black ink on white paper, now aged slightly yellow. Under the print image in the bottom rhc is the artist’s signature “ WJ Phillips” written in pencil. At the very bottom of the paper in the lhc written in pencil is the title, “MAMALILICOOLA B.L.” Written in the centre is a measurement “6 x 6 3/8” and in bottom rhc “10 3/8 x 12 1/2”.
