- A framed commercial print in black ink on off-white paper. “The Reason Why” title followed by the poem: “Not until each loom is silent And shuttles cease to fly, Will God unroll the pattern And explain the reason why The dark threads are as needful, In the Weaver’s skillful hand, As the threads of gold and silver for the pattern which He planned.” There are garlands of flowers around the poem and on the viewer’s left a spinning wheel with yarn on the wheel making a ball which is being unravelled and played with by a kitten on viewer’s right.
