- Maroon leather case with green satin velvet lining holds combination altimeter barometer of pocket watch like design. Brass casing and suspension loop. Casing rim ridged for gripping and rotation of altitude dial, inner dial, under crystal, is fixed and indicates barometric pressure in inches of mercury. Instrument is an aneroid barometer and needle varies with changes in atmospheric pressure, whether by change of altitude or change of weather. On dial face are following marks "rain change fair...compensated. Harrison & Co. Montreal, Made in England". On back of instrument casing is screw adjustment to correct for local conditions. Barometric pressure range is 17 to 31, altitude 0 to 16,000 feet.
