- Description
- An ovoid brass container with small wing-like handles at the sides and a small foot at the bottom. A lug handle on the top is hinged so half of the top swings up to rest on top of the other half. A candle holder with a metal spike is on the inside of the open half, with small spout at the end over the container. A tallow candle is placed on the spike, and as it burns it drips through the spout, into the base of the container, where the tallow is collected and reused. The bottom of this candlestick is marked with abstract geometric characters within a rectangular design.
