- Description
- Three belts, each made of a different fibre. (a) dark blue straw or raffia, large square buckle wrapped with same fibre. Large metal snap sewn at rounded tip of belt, and just beyond buckle to hold end flat when buckled. Structure seems to be a flat braided cord stitched together in the manner of a braided rug in four long strips, label has been cut from back. (b) Light blue cord with wooden buckle in elliptical shape with incised lines radiating around, possibly woody husk, outside of belt is woven material with diagonal lines, which has been sewn to a series of thick light blue cord forming the backing. Belt fabric is reversed and pieced together with a strip of light blue leather approximately 15 cm from the buckle, so that the corded texture is on the outside. (c) Tight macrame of ecru cord with brass buckle and belt loop near buckle.
