- A set of two different wooden contact printing frames.a) The larger of the two contact printing frames. The frame is wooden all the way around with two metal handles on the short side and long side, with black strips of metal that wrap around the handle and are inside the frame, which can be moved. On the back of the frame is an insert back that is hinged off center. There is grey felt on the internal side facing the glass plate, where the two strips of black metal are visible alongside two other strips of black metal in the corner of one side fixed in an L shape, each strip has a small piece of measuring tape(?). Back held in by metal clips which slide under a lip provided in frame. On the back of the frame is stamped text that reads “KODAK AUTO. MASK PRINTING FRAME” “FOR NEGATIVES 4 X 5 3 1/4 X 5 1/2 AND SMALLER” “PAT’D { JULY 14, 1914 NOV. 9, 1915 RE. APR. 18, 1916” “EASTMAN KODAK CO. ROCHESTER, N.Y. MADE In U.S.A.” b) A smaller of the two contact printing frames. The frame is wooden all the way around with an insert back that is hinged off center. There is white felt on the internal side facing the glass plate. The back is held in by metal clips which slide under a lip provided in frame. It is a simpler version of a). 2.1 x 14.4 x 16.9 cm.
