- Description
- (a) black and gray safelight in the shape an oval cut in half. The filter is tinted greenish-gray glass with gold-coloured ink with the words “SAFELGIHT Kodak FILTER”; “WRATTEN”; “Series 0A”. The filter is held in place with a removable black plastic cover that screws onto the lamp housing. The plastic cover has “Kodak” painted on with gold-coloured ink (1.1cmX4.6cm); and a gold-coloured sticker with black ink that reads “SOLE IMPORTER INTO CANADA”; “CANADIAN KODAK CO.LIMITED”; “TORONTO”; “CSA APPROVAL NO.1739”. There is a raised rectangular box with raised lettering that reads “KODAK MODEL A ADJUSTABLE SAFELIGHT LAMP MADE IN ROCHESTER. N.Y. U.S.A. BY EASTMAN KODAK COMPANY TRADEMARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.“ in the centre; on the viewer left top is “OFF” with an arrow pointing left; on the viewer-right top is “ON” with an arrow pointing right; the bottom viewer-left reads “240 VOLTS OR LESS”; the bottom viewer-right reads “10 WATTS”. There is a small, gold-coloured circular sticker above the raised rectangular box. The lamp housing is gray with 3 indented bands around the circumference which are situated 4cm apart from each other. There is a black metal handle that screws into either side of the lamp housing; it has two holes that are used for screwing the safelight onto a hardware base; it also has a larger hole in the centre for the black power cord from the safelight to run through. From the inside of the lamp housing, the screws are visible and are attached with a nut , a spring, and a thin cork stopper. The power cord has been cut and measures 18cm in length. At the back of the lamp housing there is a a black metal circular fixture within which the bulb screws in from the inside of the lamp housing; the power cord extends through this circular fixture; on this circular fixture with raised lettering is the “GE” script logo (General Electric); “U.S.A”; and “660 W. 250 V.” (b) white light bulb with black ink that reads “SHADOW BAN”; “SA” (Safety Approved); “15 W 120V.” in a circular orientation. In the centre is the “GE” logo.(c-d) black hardware base that safelight attaches to; the two pieces slide into one another; (c) has 2 screws with square-shaped nuts
